Scruffy Memorial

My (family's) dog, my best friend, my running partner, and my kayaking partner; Scruffy; passed away this evening. I don't feel like saying anything else right now. I'll post some pictures of Scruffy later.

  1. Like my wife said, Pat, it is like losing a family member, and both of our hearts go out to you and to your family. You'll never forget him, and remember, he'd want you to remember, but he wouldn't let you stay sad, so think of that. While we never met him, we feel we know him a bit through your photos and stories. Be thankful for having such a sweet pooch, and again, our thoughts and prayers are with you, sir.

  2. I'm so sorry, Pat. I also have enjoyed seeing the photos of you and Scruffy enjoying your time together on the river. You had a great companion to accompany you on those cruises, sitting up there in his forward cockpit and leaping out of the kayak now and then to chase geese along the shore. Scruffy obviously had a great life with you.
